Andra Farizki Ramdhani, a 10th-grade student at People’s High School (SRMA 10) in South Jakarta, has found new hope through the People’s School initiative launched by President Prabowo Subianto. Despite being raised by a single mother, Andra is grateful for the opportunity the People’s School has provided him with proper education. He expressed his gratitude towards President Prabowo for creating a school that caters to those who cannot afford education, making learning exciting and helping children become smarter.
Attending a boarding school where dorm life has been both challenging and rewarding, Andra cherishes the lively atmosphere with his friends and the funny stories they share. His daily routine includes early mornings, prayers, exercise, and classes, with moments of checking in with his mother. Andra appreciates the facilities at SRMA 10, such as comfortable beds, focused study rooms, and detailed explanations from teachers.
Actively participating in extracurricular activities like the student flag-raising team and the youth Red Cross, Andra continues to pursue his passion for judo. Despite facing financial struggles and the absence of his father, he remains determined to achieve his dreams, including becoming a judo athlete and attending Defense University (Unhan) for higher education. Andra credits his mother for her unwavering support and prayers that have fueled his ambition.
Grateful for the opportunity to study without financial burden, Andra sees the People’s School as a gateway for underprivileged children who are eager to learn. Unlike other schools with additional costs, the People’s School eliminates such expenses, providing a level playing field for all students. With determination and his mother’s prayers, Andra believes that his dreams are now within reach, thanks to the hope and opportunities offered by the People’s School initiative.
