President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, looked back on the moment when he was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of the Sun of Peru by Peruvian President Dina Boluarte on November 14, 2024. This highest honor from the Peruvian government was a significant acknowledgment during Boluarte’s official visit to Indonesia. Prabowo expressed gratitude for the strong diplomatic relations between the two countries since 1975.
In return, Prabowo presented Boluarte with Indonesia’s highest award, the Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipurna, recognizing her contributions to enhancing bilateral friendship and cooperation. This symbolic gesture emphasizes the desire for continued growth in the partnership between Indonesia and Peru.
Furthermore, Indonesia and Peru signed cooperation agreements in various areas such as narcotics eradication, combating illicit trade, food security, mining, energy transition, fisheries, and defense. These agreements reflect the commitment of both governments to strengthen collaboration and mutual benefits.
