Deputy for Dissemination and Media Affairs at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), Noudhy Valdryno, highlighted President Prabowo Subianto’s dedication to enhancing the contribution of Indonesian scientists on the international stage. President Prabowo envisions a stronger partnership between Indonesian researchers and global scientists to propel Indonesia towards becoming a developed nation. Valdryno stressed the importance of scientists engaging more with the public, citing their crucial role in achieving the government’s target of 8 percent economic growth over the next five years through industrialization, technological advancements, and human capital development. This vision is in line with the Asta Cita, focusing on strengthening human resources, science, technology, education, health, sports, gender equality, and empowerment. To support this commitment to scientific progress, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology is hosting the 2025 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) from August 7 to 9 at Bandung Institute of Technology. The convention, with the theme “Science and Technology for Economic Growth and Equity,” aims to bring together top scientific minds to advance the nation’s development. Minister Brian Yuliarto highlighted the convention as a vital platform for researchers and academics, particularly in STEM fields, to collaborate and drive Indonesia’s transformation into a high-value-added industrial economy. KSTI 2025 has attracted over 2,000 scientists nationwide, showcasing its strategic significance in advancing Indonesia’s scientific and technological capabilities.
