The Free Health Check in Schools (CKG) program is set to benefit 53 million students nationwide, covering all types of educational institutions in Indonesia. Managed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs overseeing 12.5 million students, the initiative aims to provide free health checks to every student, regardless of the school they attend. This program aligns with President Prabowo’s vision for a Golden Generation by 2045, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the well-being of Indonesian children as a key national asset. The President’s strategic policies also include initiatives such as Free Nutritious Meals, Capacity Expansion of Public Hospitals, and Digital Learning Initiatives. Furthermore, efforts have been made to ensure child protection through Government Regulation on Electronic System Governance and provide support for medical specialists working in remote areas. The CKG program will include religious-based education units, like madrasahs, pesantrens, and Christian, Catholic, Hindu, and Buddhist schools, showcasing a commitment to inclusive service delivery. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar emphasizes the significance of CKG in religious schools towards achieving the 2045 vision, urging schools to actively support the program’s implementation. Regional authorities are instructed to monitor the program closely, with a warning that schools neglecting participation will be given special attention.
