President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, had an important meeting with General Bryan Patrick Fenton, the Commander of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The meeting was characterized by a warm exchange as both leaders expressed their commitment to strengthening defense cooperation between Indonesia and the United States. Prabowo greeted Fenton with a military salute, emphasizing their mutual respect. General Fenton then presented President Prabowo with the USSOCOM Honor Medal, recognizing his exceptional leadership in advancing U.S.-Indonesia defense relations, particularly in special operations. General Fenton praised President Subianto’s visionary leadership in enhancing joint efforts in counterterrorism, strategic cooperation, and regional security. The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
